An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
